The Weeping Demon

A solitary figure sits beneath a flowering tree. The path leaves enough room to approach slowly, to see the weight of a hand and the fold of a garment before making a judgment.

This imagined scene asks what a landscape can tell us about another being. Petals fall without choosing where to land. The tree casts the same soft shadow over stone, grass, and the unfamiliar figure.
